Andy Albright, ASLA
Owner & Licensed Landscape Architect
With over sixteen years as a design professional helping clients realize their vision, Andy is skilled at leading multidisciplinary teams that find creative solutions and have fun in the process. Andy emphasizes the role of communication, both verbal and graphic, in any process and uses these skills to consistently manage projects that exceed client expectations within time and budget constraints.
Andy’s passion for improving quality of life through planning and design has led him from visual communications to landscape architecture and, most recently, to small business ownership. As an award-winning graphic designer, he specialized in identity and branding, interactive media, animation and 3-dimensional modeling. He continues to use these skills on a daily basis to explore and communicate new ideas. This training has also given Andy a unique ability to think in four dimensions as he intrinsically considers how time and motion are an integral part of any design.
Andy began his career as a landscape architect in Indiana and in 2005 launched a Wisconsin branch office for an Indianapolis-based landscape architecture firm. In February 2009, he founded Plandesign LLC, a purposely small, single discipline studio with large ideas. Andy has become a leader in advocating for safer, more accessible, more sustainable and more context-sensitive site design practices.
Andy is dedicated to delivering the highest level of client service by forming truly collaborative partnerships, based on mutual respect and earned trust.
